Pupil Voice
Pupil voice is a very important aspect of our school culture. We believe that pupils should play an active role in shaping school life, and our learners are highly involved in the development and planning of many school initiatives.
Our pupil groups take great pride in contributing to the running of the school and supporting the wider community. They are very active in helping to organise school events and fundraising activities throughout the year.
The School Council plays a key role in representing the views of pupils and helping to make improvements across the school. They also lead our Plentyn yr Wythnos (Child of the Week) Assembly, celebrating the achievements and positive contributions of pupils.
Our Criw Cymraeg promotes the Welsh language and culture within the school and leads our Welsh Awards Assembly, encouraging everyone to use and celebrate Welsh in daily school life.
The Digital Directors support classes across the school with technology and digital learning. They also help to promote online safety by leading an E-Safety Assembly for their peers.
Our Global Goalkeepers encourage pupils to think about the wider world and sustainability. They take an active role in our Harvest and Easter church services, helping the school community reflect on the importance of caring for others.
The Eco Committee helps the school to care for our environment by setting targets for us to achieve as a school community. They also organise initiatives such as Walk to School Week, encouraging pupils and families to make healthy and environmentally friendly choices.
Our BSL (British Sign Language) group helps to promote inclusion across the school. They lead an assembly to introduce and help pupils learn the Sign of the Week, encouraging everyone to communicate in new and meaningful ways.
Through these groups, pupils develop confidence, leadership skills, and a strong sense of responsibility. Most importantly, they know that their ideas and opinions matter and that they play a vital role in shaping our school community.
